Understanding LU Starfish Tools

Appointments

Schedule an appointment with a participating instructor, advisor, Academic Success Coach, tutor, or support office.

After scheduling, review the confirmation and add the appointment to your calendar.

Kudos

Kudos are positive messages recognizing your effort, improvement, participation, or academic success.

A kudo lets you know that someone at Lincoln has noticed your progress.

Flags and Alerts

A flag or alert communicates a concern that may need your attention, such as missing assignments, low grades, attendance concerns, or limited participation.

A flag is an opportunity to take action and connect with support.

Referrals

A referral connects you with a Lincoln University office, program, or service that can help address a specific need.

Review the referral details and follow the recommended next steps.

Messages

Instructors and members of your support network may send messages through LU Starfish.

Check both LU Starfish and your Lincoln University email regularly.

Student Success Plans

A student success plan organizes important goals, responsibilities, and action steps in one place.

Review assigned steps, complete each requirement, and ask for assistance when needed.
