Returning Lincoln University Students (32 or More Earned Credits)
Returning students with 32 or more earned credits do not need approval from the Office of the Dean of Students to have a personal vehicle on campus.
To register your vehicle, visit the LU Police & Public Safety Department located in ICC Room 106 and bring the following documents:
  • Current driver's license
  • Current vehicle registration
  • Current vehicle inspection sticker
  • Current and valid proof of insurance
  • A signed letter from the vehicle owner giving you permission to drive the vehicle (only if the vehicle is not registered in your name)
Incoming Students (First-Year Students) & Transfer Students
Having a vehicle on campus is a privilege, not a right. Students with fewer than 32 earned credits must receive written approval from the Office of the Dean of Students before bringing a vehicle to campus.
Please note:
  • Approval is not guaranteed.
  • Requests are only considered for students with documented extenuating circumstances, such as:
    • Verified medical needs
    • Employment requirements
    • Other qualifying circumstances supported by appropriate documentation
  • Vehicle permission requests must be submitted by the end of August for each academic semester. Requests submitted after the deadline may not be reviewed.
After you submit the request form, you will receive an official approval or denial through your Lincoln University email. Please allow at least five (5) business days for your application to be reviewed and processed.
Students who bring a vehicle to campus without prior approval may have their vehicle restricted from campus and may be subject to additional administrative action.
If you have questions about the vehicle approval process, please contact the Office of the Dean of Students at deanofstudents@lincoln.edu.
