However, after completing her prerequisites, the program was unexpectedly discontinued, requiring her to chart a new academic path. During this transition, she experienced the profound loss of her father, traveling to Africa to lay him to rest just weeks before preparing to continue her studies. Upon her return, unforeseen challenges caused an additional delay in her academic progress.
Amid these obstacles, Dennes faced one of the most difficult chapters of her journey—a high-risk pregnancy marked by serious medical complications. Despite ongoing health concerns, frequent medical appointments, and uncertainty, she remained steadfast in her commitment to her education. She continued attending classes, participating in campus life, and fulfilling her responsibilities with remarkable determination.
Through each challenge, Dennes drew strength from her faith and found motivation in the life she was preparing to bring into the world. Rather than deter her, these experiences deepened her sense of purpose and resilience.
Now graduating, Dennes is driven by a passion to serve and support women during some of life’s most critical moments. She aspires to become an OB-GYN physician, with the goal of guiding and empowering women through their own journeys. Her story stands as a powerful testament to perseverance and serves as an inspiration to the entire university community.
