Lincoln University Celebrates Alumnus Dr. William E. Bennett’s Induction into the National Black College Hall of Fame

Lincoln University, PA — September 10, 2025 — Lincoln University proudly announces that distinguished alumnus Dr. William E. Bennett has been inducted into the National Black College Hall of Fame in the field of science. Dr. Bennett, a renowned biomedical scientist, educator, and former senior federal executive, has dedicated his career to advancing public health, medical science, and health equity.

With more than three decades of service and leadership, Dr. Bennett’s visionary work has had a transformative impact on science, medicine, and underserved communities. A proud Lincoln graduate, he is recognized not only for his groundbreaking research but also for his commitment to mentoring, civic engagement, and spiritual leadership. His Hall of Fame induction underscores both his personal achievements and the university’s legacy of producing leaders who shape the world.

“Dr. Bennett’s career embodies the mission of Lincoln University — to prepare graduates who will use their education to advance social justice and improve lives,” said University President Dr. Brenda A. Allen. “We are proud to celebrate his extraordinary accomplishments and this well-deserved honor.”

The Hall of Fame Induction and Legacy of Leaders Alumni Honors celebrate outstanding HBCU graduates whose contributions extend beyond their professions into lasting service and inspiration for future generations. By joining this distinguished group of honorees, Dr. Bennett continues Lincoln’s tradition of excellence, leadership, and advocacy.

This year’s ceremony marks a milestone 40th anniversary celebration under the theme “40 Years Strong: A Legacy Built. A Legacy Rising.” The event will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, GA.
