The accelerated Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offers students the option of specializing in Finance and/or Human Resources Management. The Finance major exposes students to a rigorous, multidisciplinary portfolio of theoretical and applied courses in economics, finance, banking, investment, and management. The Human Resources Management major focuses on the strategic management of human capital assets that influence the financial, operational, and competitive direction of the organization. Both majors provide students with an integrated body of knowledge for career advancement as leaders, managers, and executives in private and public sector enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures, as well as preparation for the pursuit of advanced certification and doctoral studies.

My participation in the Master of Science in Business (now MBA) program was an unforgettable, enriching experience. Lincoln University is real; the community at the School of Adult and Continuing Education (SACE) is exceptional. Faculty, staff, and administration are totally student-centered as they welcome and nurture students with outstanding guidance from matriculation to graduation. An excellent byproduct of my experience in the Master’s program was the faculty-led study abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, through which I was able to learn about a different culture, political, and economic system that was truly exceptional and enlightening. I am forever grateful for the Lincoln University experience.

MBA 800 Integrated Capstone Research Project
MBA 800 is the terminal capstone course for the MBA program. It may be completed as a journal article of 25 pages, part of a group project (of recommended pages by the Business Research instructor), or a formal scholarly thesis of 75 – 100 pages. Students who plan to pursue a doctorate are urged to consider the thesis option. Regardless of the selected option, students will be academically advised during the capstone development, writing, completion, and defense (if a thesis option) stages. A formal thesis defense presentation to a committee of graduate and undergraduate professors is required. The journal article and group project are not defended. However, students will present the results of their research to their instructor and invited professors.

Foundation Track

Students with non-business or business undergraduate degrees with core business course deficiencies must complete, at a minimum, MBA foundation courses MBA 620 Financial Accounting, MBA 630 Economics for Managers, and MBA 635 Financial Management. Additional courses in the foundation track may be required to bolster student preparedness for graduate business study. After successful completion of the MBA foundation, students can gain formal admittance into their chosen MBA major concentration.

Transfer Credits

The MBA program accepts up to six credits from a regionally-accreditated graduate school in Business and complementary and/or related disciplines, providing each course is completed with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Graduate courses that are not business-related may be evaluated for transfer acceptance.

Lincoln University’s tuition and fees are set annually by the university and remain affordable and competitive.
