LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – December 5, 2025 – In a move that exemplifies her confidence in the university’s mission, vision, and leadership, Mackenize Scott, philanthropist and dedicated supporter of historical Black institutions, has provided a $25 million unrestricted gift to Lincoln, her second in the school’s history.
Scott’s continued belief in the university’s stewardship and trajectory positions Lincoln for generational achievement. The gift, alongside the $20 million donated in 2020, reflects $45 million in endorsements, the two largest single gifts in Lincoln University’s history.
"Lincoln University was founded to break barriers and create pathways for African Americans to thrive. This investment honors that legacy and propels us forward, enabling us to build on 171 years of excellence and innovation. It is a powerful affirmation of the enduring value of Historically Black Colleges and Universities," said President Brenda A. Allen.
Lincoln University intends to use the donation as an anchor for a larger campaign dedicated to student success. Classified as unrestricted, the $25 million will go into supporting scholarships, curricular & co-curricular experiences and initiatives that will benefit current and future students, faculty and staff.
