We're thrilled to spotlight one of Lincoln University's distinguished alums, Dr. Marion Myers, class of 1975. Originally from Philadelphia and currently living and teaching in South Carolina, Dr. Myers, a visionary writer, educator, and now an executive producer/director, has been making waves in both the literary and entertainment industry, all stemming from her novel CYCLES, I’m Still Here!, which later became an award-winning television series produced and directed by Dr. Myers herself.

From Book to Screen: The Journey of CYCLES, I'm Still Here!

Dr. Myers's journey began with her book CYCLES, I'm Still Here! Inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven,” this riveting drama delves into the lives of an affluent family in the inner city, exploring the universal theme of cycles that govern our lives: war and peace, love and hate, death and life.

The book's success paved the way for the creation of the television series CyCLES, which brought the story to life on screen. Dr. Myers's vision and dedication have led to multiple seasons of the show, captivatingly capturing audiences with its powerful storytelling and rich characters. Recent news has brought even more accolades, with "CYCLES" receiving the prestigious Best Drama award at the Amsterdam World Canvas Film Festival, further solidifying its impact on the global stage.
