Insurance Requirement for Special Events

Lincoln University requires all external groups to provide Commercial General Liability Insurance. 

Licensee, at its expense, needs to procure and maintain during the term of this agreement, a policy of commercial general liability in an amount of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000), single-limit, against claims for bodily injury, death and property damage occurring in connection with Licensee’s use of the space.  This insurance must name Lincoln University as additional insured.  Licensee must provide the University with a certificate evidencing this insurance coverage no later than ten days prior to Licensee’s use of the space.  The amount of the insurance may change due to anticipated attendance.


TULIP is available for organizations, social groups, clubs and individuals submitting a request to use University facilities but do not have an existing insurance policy to obtain a certificate of liability form.
