Start Strong - Student Success Fair

Whether you want to raise your GPA, stay on track, find support, or simply have your best semester yet, Start Strong connects you with the people and resources that can help. Start Strong is a student success fair designed to help Lincoln University students strengthen their academic performance, connect with campus resources, and develop a plan for a successful semester.

Students will have the opportunity to meet representatives from Academic Advising, LU Starfish, Knack Tutoring, Information Technology, Financial Aid, Health & Wellness, ADA/Accessibility Services, Career Success & Experiential Learning (CSEL), Residence Life, Spiritual Activities, the Office of the Class Deans, the Dean of Students/CliftonStrengths, and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Students will be encouraged to visit participating stations throughout the fair and complete their Start Strong experience at the Start Strong GPA Goal Station.

Visiting stations gives students opportunities to be entered into gift card drawings held throughout the event. Students must be present to win. Students will also be encouraged to visit three key academic-success stations—Academic Advising, Knack Tutoring, and LU Starfish—before reaching the finish line. At the GPA Goal Station, students will identify a semester GPA goal, a course that may need extra attention, a resource they will use before they begin struggling, a habit they want to strengthen, and a person or office they can contact for support.
