On Thursday Oct. 23, 2025, for the first time in its 171-year history, The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania will kick off its Homecoming 2025 weekend with an inaugural pep rally and reception/open house at its University City campus in West Philadelphia. The event will also celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Lincolnian, one of the nation’s oldest student newspapers. A traveling photo exhibit and digital presentation is supported by Lincoln’s historic collaboration with Getty Images and Ancestry. Homecoming festivities will continue over the weekend at the university’s main campus in southern Chester County.
Lincoln alums Mayor Cherrelle Parker and Elton Brand, former NBA star and current executive of the Philadelphia 76ers, are among the dignitaries invited to attend the kickoff event.
