Bio:
Jacquetta T. Ayewoh, PhD is a native of Harrisburg, Pa. Dr. Ayewoh obtained a B.A in English/Secondary Certification from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania (2011), an M.A in English Literature and Composition from Millersville University of Pennsylvania (2016), and a PhD in English from Morgan State University (2024). Dr. Ayewoh holds a Pennsylvania teaching license for grades 7-12, and has taught both middle and high school ELA from 2012-2016. She later obtained her Pennsylvania state license for Education Directors in 2016 where she quickly began working as a secondary level administrator for an alternative education program in Harrisburg, Pa.
During her time as Education Director, Dr. Ayewoh supervised a team of teachers and support staff, supervised state mandated curriculum for secondary students, implemented a Life Skills curriculum rooted in CBT pedagogies, implemented calendars to include experiential learning opportunities for students, increased parent engagement via career fairs, parent luncheons, and created and implemented a GED/HISET program for upper-level students.
