- Students who graduated in August 2020, December 2020 and will graduate in May 2021
Tickets
- Ticket information will be available soon.
- Tickets will be required.
- The plan is for each graduate to receive two tickets.

We honor you and your accomplishments and wish to recognize your achievements through a class photo gallery to be posted on the University’s website and social media channels.
Cap and Gown
It is time to order your academic regalia—cap and gown—for Commencement. We are working directly with an external vendor, Herff Jones, who will collect your personal information via the webform below and then mail your regalia to your home. Please have your height, weight, and mailing address ready, then navigate to the order link below. This is for main campus students only. If you are a SACE student be sure your information is accurate with SACE Student Services.
- Who is Eligible: 2021 candidates and 2020 graduates who did not order a cap/gown last year.
- Herff Jones will mail caps/gowns for main campus students only. SACE students should contact Ms. Lea at the University City location for caps/gowns.
- Cost: Free, as it is already included in your graduation fee. The deadline is April 26, 2021 to order.
- When: Opens March 22, 2021
This is the regalia that is required to be worn to participate. Please take care not to lose it, as there will be a fee for replacement regalia.

2020 Commencement Speaker and Honorary Degrees
Renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Benjamin Crump will speak at the 161st Commencement. Selected for this honor by the faculty and approved by the Board of Trustees, Crump will also receive an honorary Doctor of Laws.
Three recipients will receive honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees: Nelson Henry Jr. (posthumously), Dr. Leonard Bethel, and Emery Wimbish.
