Since our beginning, Lincoln University has attracted an interracial and international enrollment from the surrounding community, region, and around the world. Today, our liberal arts and science-based degree programs serve a diverse student body, representing many cultures, countries, career interests.
International students enrich our community and together we develop a greater understanding of what it means to be a world citizen. International students from 20 countries currently make up less than 10 percent of the population at Lincoln, but we want that number to go up.

Apply as an international undergraduate if you are not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and you are on a temporary visa, or if you will require any type of visa to study in the United States.
Undocumented students should use the application for U.S. students.
Apply online using the Lincoln admissions application. There is no cost to apply and you need to submit only one application to be considered for admission. Be sure to review the information listed on the application for accuracy.
International applicants should submit transcripts for all coursework completed. Transcripts must be evaluated by the World Education Service (WES) and then forwarded by WES to the Office of International Programs and Services.
To obtain transfer credit for education completed at non-U.S. postsecondary institutions, all academic records must be converted into their U.S. education equivalents by a University-recognized credential agency. Request the International Credential Advantage Package (ICAP) (Transcript + Evaluation) Document-by-Document Report only. Statement of results, provisional notifications of results, and website printout of results will not be accepted.
Note: It is your responsibility to contact the approved credential evaluation service, as well as to pay for the translation services. Applications will not be considered without this information.
If English is your native language, request to have official ACT or SAT scores sent directly to Lincoln. Only official scores submitted via the testing agency will be considered for admission.

If your native language is not English, you must get a score of at least 500 on the paper-based (PBT) or a score of at least 71 on the Internet-based (IBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Only official reports from ETS will be accepted. Note: in lieu of the TOEFL (if not offered in your country), applicants may submit results from IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall score of 6.5.

Include a letter of recommendation from the principal of the secondary school attended and a character recommendation, preferably from a teacher or other professional person who knows you well.
Note: Residential address in your country of origin; P.O. Box or commercial addresses are not acceptable.
We understand you will be eager to know if you've been accepted, but don’t worry if you don’t hear right away. It can take up to 15-20 business days during our peak season (October – February) for processing supplemental documents.
To view any missing supplemental items and to review an admission status, please access your Lincoln application portal. Once these steps have been completed, an admissions representative will review the application and a decision letter will be available for review in the application portal. You will receive an email when a decision is rendered.
