Onaje R. Cunningham

Name:

Onaje R. Cunningham

Junior
Major in Biology, Minor in Business

Recent Research Activities:

Lincoln University's Garden and its Impact on Sustainability (and 1st place winner of the 2021 Undergraduate Research Symposium!)

Relevence of research; broader implications/applications:

Minority and underserved communities often lack access to organic food sources. This research project encourages healthy eating and teaches students how to garden through community projects that promote food sustainability.

Plans for the Future:

I plan on becoming a physician with a special interest in orthopedics. Next year, I will continue to study how access to organic foods can prevent the development of chronic illnesses prevalent in minority communities.
