Area Coodinator (AC) – ACs are full-time live-in professional staff members. They supervise Resident Advisors,advise Residence Hall Association, participate in a duty rotation,and help students with a variety of issues. Assistant Area Coordinator (AAC)- AACs are part-time graduate assistants who are live-in professional staff members. They supervise Resident Advisors, advise Residence Hall Association, participate in a duty rotation, and help students with a variety of issues. Resident Advisor (RA) – RAs are traditionally upperclassmen students who live on each floor and will provide residents with advice and support throughout the academic year. They help students struggling with challenges and connect them with the resources they need to be successful in their LU experience. Desk Assistant (DA) – DAs are students who assist the Residence Life staff. DA's help with visitor sign in, bulletin boards, spreading the word about events and more. In our experience, we notice students who start as DAs become interested in the RA position. DAs can be paid through work study but is also available on the volunteer basis.
