The LU E-Portfolio Project
ATTENTION!!! Beginning with the Class of 2013, ALL GRADUATING SENIORS will be required to have submitted a portfolio of their completed work in their major.
At the end of the junior year, every student must prepare a portfolio of work as determined by their major department. This portfolio will be an electronic portfolio. The portfolio will be evaluated by faculty from the student's major department, assisted by the WAC/WID Coordinator. Students who fail the portfolio must resubmit in the Fall of their Senior year. STUDENTS WILL NOT GRADUATE WITHOUT PASSING THE PORTFOLIO.
Our goal is that every Lincoln University student graduate with an academic/professional digital portfolio that will showcase their expertise and professionalism.
We are partnering with Chalkandwire, an international leader in digital portfolio services. Chalkandwire will be our Digital Portfolio Provider for the 2008-2009. For more information, click on C&W's icon below:
What will the Electronic Portfolio look like?
It will be an electronic portfolio, so students can include essays, poems, research papers or any other written content you can think of. Students can also upload images, video, or audio, anything that demonstrates the students grasp of their major's professional or academic knowledge.
An electronic portfolio is like the student's own academic/professional website. Students can invite potential employees and graduate schools to see it online, download a copy to CD/DVD, or print a copy to take with them on interviews. Check out the following links to get a sense of what's possible using the e-portfolio format.
