HUGHES MEMORIAL LIBRARY - named for world-acclaimed poet and
1929 Lincoln Alumnus Langston Hughes - houses an open shelf
collection of more than 176,000 volumes, and subscribes to
600 current periodicals annually. There is a special collection
of African American and African materials representing all
aspects of the Black Experience. The library also houses selections
from other collections of African art and artifacts.
