U.S. Representative Joe Pitts learned about the Upper Bound program at Lincoln University the way it’s organizer intended. Herschel Bailey states "the best way to show the program is to let the program show itself –through the students who are involved in it. Pitts visit included touring the campus and brief panel discussion organized by the Upward Bounders and visit to a forensics class engaged in a debate. Pitts seeing that the program is well put together he assures Bailey he intends to continue to offer his support to the program in the U.S. House.
