Disciplinary Sanction Community Service Program
The philosophy of the Disciplinary Sanction Community Service Program is to assist students who have violated the Student Code of Conduct with 1) the development of more mature and ethical decision-making; and 2) the opportunity for the student to learn from the actions, behaviors and/or experiences that caused them to become a participant in the program.
The Office of Student Services strives to take an educational approach to student misconduct that promotes learning, growth and development, reflection, and insight. The overall goal and objective of the Disciplinary Sanction Community Service Program is to allow the student the opportunity to reflect on his/her situation while giving back to the university community in a positive way and to prevent possible future violations. Students who violate the Student Code of Conduct and are sanctioned to serve community service due to disciplinary sanctions will be required to adhere to the following:
1) Students assigned community service must meet with Ms. Rita X. Myers, Director of Student Services, within five (5) business days of receipt of their letter from the Dean of Campus Life. Ms. Myers office is located in Lincoln Hall, Room 104.
