The Office of Student Life and Development

The Theme for the year is “Raising the Bar by Sparking Inspiration”. Studies on retention show that first year students make their decision on whether to remain at their university within the first 4-6 weeks of the semester. The goal of the First Year Empowerment Program is to enable first-year students to be successful through the development of diverse learning opportunities and enriching educational experiences within a supportive campus community in the beginning of the Fall 2012 Semester. 
We encourage campus organizations and departments to participate. Deadline for program submissions is Friday, April 13, 2012 by 5:00pm (firm).
