Dr. Chikwem showed the newly developed recruitment video
for the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. It
was well received by faculty.
Update
on New Science Building
Dr. Chikwem informed faculty that an architect has been
appointed for the building design. The Building Committee
will continue to work with the architects until the final
building plan is developed. The design will take approximately
one year and the construction, another two years. The
earliest time for occupancy would be 2008. Grim and Wright
Halls will not be renovated until the Science Building
is completed.
Update
on West Chester University
Drs. Chikwem, Swinton, Tung and Major have already seen
the imaging equipment at West Chester University. Dr.
Chikwem appealed to faculty to make good use of the opportunity
to get trained in the use of the equipment.
Science
Fair
Dr. Chikwem appealed to faculty to encourage their student
to submit their abstracts for review. Prizes will be awarded
for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and honorable mention.
The date has been set for April 2, 2005.
