Dr. Jose Russo, Director of the Breast Cancer Research Laboratory at Fox Chase Cancer Center presented a seminar titled: "The Apprentice of Science" at the Conference Hall of the Ivory V. Nelson Center for the Sciences on the 12th of April, 2012. Dr. Russo explored the qualities of scientists, drawing from examples of past great scientists including Robert Koch, Francis Collins, Johann Mendel and Louis Pasteur.

I, Shaphawn Williams, graduated in December 2011 and will be attending the May 2012 commencement ceremony. I recently was honored in my city by Mayor Ravenstahl because I am one of the first graduates of Pittsburgh's well-known scholarship called the Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship. I was honored to speak at the Mayors press conference. I was also featured in many news articles and other media outtakes in Pittsburgh.

The third Annual Teacher Appreciation Daywas held on Thursday, the 22th of March, 2012 in the newly renavated Grimm Hall Auditorium. The event was brought to you by Lincoln University Biology Club and the National Association of Black Accountants. The students planned the whole event and even had orchestrated a voting day in the cafeteria to help select the teachers getting the awards.
