Minutes of December 4, 2007 Cabinet meeting were approved.
Physical Plant
Briefing
§
The work at 3020 Market Street is progressing
on
schedule. The renovated spaces are now
of first class quality. Mr. Thompson
provided a sketch of the layout for the common area.
Academic Affairs
Dean Thomas advised that she has been contacted by a group
that is producing a video in connection to “The Debaters” movie in
which Denzel
Washington portrays Melvin B. Tolson, a 1923 Lincoln graduate. Dean Thomas was asked to coordinate efforts
relating to this through the office of Communications.
Development and
External Relations
Dr. Brevett provided the following updates on the security
enhancement projects:

New campus alert siren is scheduled
to be
installed this month.

We are now prepared to key
information to
activate an email warning system
Student Affairs and
Enrollment Management
Lincoln University has been
awarded a four-year Upward Bound Program grant by the U.S. Department
of
Education. The annual funding period
under the new grant is now December 1 through November 30.
The Lincoln University 2008 Football schedule has been
confirmed. The first game is scheduled
for August 30, 2008 at 1PM against George
Mason University
on the Lion’s temporary home field at Avon Grove
High School.
Lincoln University’s 2008 Homecoming will be October 18,
2008 and will feature a football game against Elizabeth City State
University at
1PM.
The SAEM staff is trying to schedule a game with Cheyney to
be played at the end of the 2008 season.
