Attendees: President Ivory V. Nelson, Vice President Howard E. Merlin, Vice President Michael B. Hill, Vice President William B. Bynum, Dean Gladys J. Willis for Vice President Grant D. Venerable, and Ms. Diane M. Brown. Attending for portion of meeting: Dr. Renford A.B. Brevett and Mr. John Thompson
Draft Cabinet minutes of December 5, 2006 were approved with revisions.
Physical Plant Update
Mr. Thompson
provided the
following project update:

The Roof
project has
been completed
▪
Work on
University Hall
is ahead of schedule
▪
Work on Ware
Center is
on schedule
▪
The
relocation of
offices from the Student Union Building (SUB) has begun.
The SUB will be off line as of December 18
▪
The camera
security
project is expected to be completed by January 31, 2007
▪
The wrought
iron gate
for the main entrance to campus has arrived and is scheduled for
installation
in the near future. President Nelson
indicated that he would like the gate to be fitted for hydraulic
operation if
possible
The proposed floor plan for the 6th floor of the Graduate Center submitted by UCI Architects, Inc. was reviewed and discussed.
Dr. Brevett informed the Cabinet that Lincoln University’s new application for participation in the Title III program should be ready by February-March of 2007. The current grant expires on September 30, 2007.
Vice President Merlin provided a review of the University’s fiscal activities for the five months ending November 30, 2006. .
