Cabinet minutes of November 14, 2006 were approved.

Offices
will be relocated from the SUB to the modulars after students leave
campus for
the holiday break.
▪
Mr.
Dave Brunner has been certified in the operation of the new sewer plant
▪
Need
to address the issue of securing the residence halls when students
leave for
the holiday breaks (close windows, unplug electrical appliances, empty
trash
cans)
The
Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) Delaware Chapter honored
Sobieski
Mechanical with an award for the best mechanical application/
installation
project this year for the mechanical system installed in Lincoln
University’s
new student residence hall. The award
is given based on overall design complexity, innovative use of
materials, life
expectancy, schedule, cost, safety rating and overall project results.
All
office/department telephone extension on the campus will be renumbered
over the
next month as part of the new “Enhanced 911” service.
The new numbering system will enable emergency personnel to
identify the specific location on campus from which an emergency call
is
placed. All new numbers can be dialed
direct from off campus using the new 484/365 area code and exchange. The changeover of student telephone
extensions was accomplished over the summer break.
President
Nelson and a University delegation traveled to Rivers State University
of
Technology last week to present the findings of the University Review
Team,
which had visited the university previously.
He is optimistic that the findings will be accepted. Follow up visits to Port Harcourt are
anticipated.

The
Lincoln University athletics department has entered into a one-year
agreement
with radio station WCOJ (1420 AM) to broadcast 10 men’s basketball
games during
the 2006-2007 season. Coverage will
begin 15 minutes prior to tip-off with a pre-game show and will also
include
halftime interviews called “Books and Basketball” which will feature
Lincoln faculty and administrators.
There
being no further business,
President Nelson adjourned the meeting at 12:00 p.m.
