The number of Master of Human Services (Pre-Masters) applications for the spring 2002 semester is significantly down from spring 2001. A meeting will be convened to evaluate the reason(s) for the fall off in applications.
2001-2002 Operating Budget - A number of events have made it necessary for the University to reduce both its operational and capital budgets. Vice Presidents, Deans and Directors have been asked to reduce Operational and Capital Budget expenses by 3%. In addition, admissions personnel have been asked to redouble their efforts to maximize enrollment of both undergraduate and graduate students for spring 2002.
Registration of Lion Logo and Official Seal - Lincoln has begun the New U.S. Trademark application process for the lion logo and its official seal.
Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund (TMSF) - The TMSF has provided funding for 37 Lincoln students to cover costs of tuition, room, board, books and fees for fall 2001. The total award to Lincoln students was $80,345.00.
Loss Prevention Inspection - Professional Underwriters
Inc. conducted a loss prevention inspection at the University on August
17, 2001. In October 2001, the University was able to report that
it had either rectified or was in the process of completing the recommendations
made by the inspection team. The University's actions prompted a
very positive response from the Underwriters who stated that "it is quite
obvious that the university is clearly committed to the implementation
and maintenance of the recommendations made by the loss control consultant."
