Cabinet minutes of September 29,
2009, were approved.
PRESIDENT
Congratulations to the students on an excellent
Homecoming Pep
Rally held on Monday.
November Board of Trustees Meeting – The necessary
reports and
resolutions were discussed.
Accountability – It is essential that we demonstrate
movement
toward meeting the goals established by the Board of Trustees. We must be able to show concretely what we
are contributing to meeting these goals.
The members of Cabinet discussed how we might increase the
impact of the
Learning Resource Center
in meeting our retention goals.
FISCAL AFFAIRS
The “Campus Closings and Work Schedule Modifications”
and “Employment and
Hiring” policies were approved with noted revisions.
STUDENT AFFAIRS AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Vice President Briggs provided a
briefing of the recent Student Forum. Major topics of discussion
included IT
issues, public safety and the food service.
