October 3, 2005 Cabinet meeting minutes were approved.
Development and External Relations
Annual Giving
Vice President Hill shared with the Cabinet, his 2006 Contributions Analysis
and Plan Summary.
Lincoln Legacy Awards Program
All plans are in place for the 3rd Annual Lincoln Legacy Awards Program,
Friday, October 21, 2005 in Philadelphia. Several corporate sponsors
have been secured for the event.
Honors Convocation
The Cabinet agreed it would be best to move the date of The Lincoln University
Honors Convocation to Thursday, November 3, 2005 @ 11:00 a.m.
Fiscal Affairs
New Employee to join fiscal staff
Ms. Danielle Jones has been extended a contract letter to join the fiscal
office staff in the position of Manager of Business Systems. As such,
she will head the bursar and computer implementation operations.
Lincoln University Bowling Center
President Nelson authorized physical plant to move forward and look into
the cost of repairing/replacing the existing bowling equipment. It
was agreed that this facility is essential to the quality of life for our
students.
Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
A review of outstanding student balances showed that approximately 120 students
owe $5,000 or more on their accounts. After a further review of outstanding
loan/grant awards not yet attributed, students still owing balances of $5,000
or more will be given notice that they must cease from attending classes
and vacate their residence.
