September 19, 2005 Cabinet meeting minutes were approved.
Physical Plant Update
Phase II – New Residence Hall
A March 2006 target date has been projected for completion of Phase II of
the new residence hall. This date meets the requirements of the University.
Housekeeping Staff Work Schedule
There has been discussion around moving all Housekeeping staff to the day
shift after the Thanksgiving Holiday. Cabinet approved the change and
authorized the Director of Physical Plant to determine the best way to make
the switch while providing necessary coverage for all buildings.
Repairs to Dickey Hall computer room
Cabinet authorized the purchase of a 5-ton portable unit to provide cool
air to this computer room. Physical Plant will contact vendors to ascertain
cost and availability of a unit.
Interdisciplinary Cultural Arts Proposed Major
Lincoln University has completed a draft for The Interdisciplinary Cultural
Arts Proposed Major, which will be jointly supported by Lincoln University
and The Barnes Foundation. The draft will be discussed with Barnes
Foundation personnel in the coming week.
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Policy
The AED Policy has been reviewed and approved by the University’s Risk Management
officer and will be implemented immediately. At least three AED’s will
be available, two on the main campus and one at the Graduate Center in Philadelphia.
Only Public Safety Officers, University Nurses, and others who have been
trained/certified in the potential life saving use of such medical equipment
will be authorized users.
