Minutes
Minutes of September 18, 2007 Cabinet meeting were approved.
Lincoln University’s
Accreditation Review
Cabinet discussed the recent visit of Dr. Thelma Thompson,
Chair of the Lincoln University Accreditation Review Team.
Revisions to the draft Self-Study Report must
be completed prior to the Thanksgiving break so that the final document
is
ready for mailing in February 2008. Steering
Committee Chairs will meet again with their committees to discuss the
nature of
the changes that must be made to the Report.
Academic Affairs
The Deans provided brief updates on happenings within their
respective schools.
Fiscal Affairs
A vote on the
negotiated Maintenance and housekeeping
contract will be held on October 4, 2007.
Student Affairs and Enrollment
Management
In an effort to ensure the most efficient and effective
response in the case of a campus emergency, Vice President Bynum was
asked to
contact the State Police to ascertain their expectations of the
University
should an emergency situation arise on campus.
Discussions will be held with the State Police and the Lincoln
University Chief of Police concerning the best method for shutting down
the campus
to all traffic should the situation warrant.
Vice President Bynum informed the group that a prohobition
has been placed on fraternity and sorority “party walking” at campus
dances.
