Associate Provost for Student Development F. Carl Walton, Interim Dean of Students
and Director of Financial Aid Thelma Ross, and Diane M. Brown. Bursar Lloyd Asparagus attended for a portion
of the meeting.

Cabinet meeting minutes of September 16, 2010 were approved.
PRESIDENT
AGB Report on Assessment of Student
Learning – The Report “How Boards
Oversee Educational quality: A Report on a Survey on Boards and the Assessment
of Student Learning” was distributed.
President Nelson would like the report to be shared with all faculty
members.
Project Funding Approved – Governor Rendell has approved Project No. DGS
1101-48: Renovate John Miller Dickey Hall for funding in the amount of
$20,000,000. The allocation includes
$16,000,000 for Base Construction and $4,000,000 for Design and Contingencies.
House Bill No. 2291 - The Capital
Budget Act for 2010-2011 recently passed by the Commonwealth includes
$67,500,000 for Lincoln University as follows:

MSCHE Small Team Visit – Discussion regarding the small team visit on
September 24 was held.

FISCAL AFFAIRS
Policies – The Student Financial Clearance policy distributed previously
in draft form was discussed and revisions suggested. The
final draft will be reviewed and discussed at the next meeting of the Cabinet.
Financial Clearance Letter – The University’s Financial Clearance Letter will be
sent out under the signature of the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs after
review and approval by the Cabinet.
Lincoln University Travel Policy – Vice President Merlin presented to the Cabinet a
possible plan to better facilitate the process for payment and reporting of
travel and expenses by Lincoln University employees. The proposal included the use of a “OneCard”
credit card.
