Minutes of September 4, 2007 Cabinet meeting were approved.
Physical Plant Update
Manuel Rivero
Gymnasium – Repair of damage caused by main line break will
require
approximately 4 months. The insurance
company has authorized replacement with all new and updated equipment.
Ware Center &
University Hall – Faculty will be moved into offices once computers
and
phone systems have been installed. The
quotes for computers have been submitted to DGS. However,
the labs in the modules will
continue to be used until the new labs are properly outfitted.
New Science
Building
– A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for Saturday, November 17 when
the Board
of Trustees will meet.
Library Renovations
– Pre-bid Conference has been scheduled for October 9, 2007 at Lincoln University.
The bid opening date is set for October 31,
2007 @ 1:00 PM.
International Cultural Center – October
17, 2007 has been set for the
bid opening.
3020 Lincoln
Plaza
– Overall building demolition is complete with cleanup and minor
selective
demolition ongoing. The Lincoln University
4th floor is scheduled for completion by November 28, 2007
and
construction of the Lincoln
University 3rd
floor is expected to be completed by December 5, 2007.
Lincoln
University must
move from
its temporary space on the first floor by December 15, 2007. The directors of Physical Plant and
Information Technology will coordinate the move.
Fiscal Affairs
Agreement on a new contract has been reached with the
Maintenance and Housekeeping unions.
The Department of the Auditor General has issued its
Independent Auditor’s Report for the statement of appropriations earned
of Lincoln
University for the
fiscal year ended
June 30, 2006. The Auditor General
stated “In our opinion, the accompanying statement of appropriation
earned
presents fairly, in all material respects, the earned appropriation of Lincoln University for the fiscal year
ended
June 30, 2006, on the basis of accounting described in Note 2.”
Moody’s affirmed Lincoln
University’s A3
Underlying Rating: Outlook is stable

Management
Avon Grove
High School
has agreed to host Lincoln
University’s home
football
games in Fall 2008 at its football stadium.
