Brown.  Mr. John Thompson attended for a portion of the meeting.
Cabinet meeting minutes of August 31, 2010 and September 8, 2010 were approved.
Mr. Thompson provided the following status report:
Now that most of the summer work is done we are concentrating on the support of the campus. We also have 5 projects that are in design with a target start date for the actual work to be in early May as soon as the students leave.
DGS Project Status
Project 1101-28: This project includes a third 150KV generator and also some modifications to the distribution of the services. During the 100 degree plus days we discovered that the calculated design voltage was undersized. The State, PECO and our team are discussing our path forward so we are still in a design phase.
Project 1101-32 Vail Hall:  The HVAC work is coming along very well. Most of the demolition of old ducts work and the area HVAC units are also complete. The new system is starting to be installed. December completion is still targeted.
Projects 1101-39 (Grimm) 1101-43 (Wright) and 1101-44 (Library):  Demolition in all of the buildings is on-going. The existing walls at the new entrance to the Library have been removed. Many of the small unusable spaces in all of the buildings have also been demolished. The projects are on schedule.
Projects 1101-45 (Landscape) and 1101-46 (Athletics): To date we have had two construction meetings for the projects. The Point 2, 3, & 4th contractors are set to get started. The Point 1 contractor has mobilized but has still not provided the State with the needed documents.
Project 1101-47: The Wellness Project has almost completed the sub grade of the building. The contractor has had to use various methods to dry the soil to meet spec. creating a dusty situation at times.
Sub grade and some footers have been poured; we still have some design issues to be worked out. Brick selection has not yet occurred.

Current information:
The grounds will be addressed by the end of the week.
A request for an additional sidewalk from Dickey Hall to the area near University Hall has been requested by us to the State. This will improve the travel of our wheelchair bound students.
At times gushing of some fire hydrants will occur across campus. This is needed to verify there is sufficient pressure to design the sprinkler systems. Sufficient safety measure will be employed at these times.
