President's Cabinet Meeting

Strategic Planning Process and Procedures - The Cabinet will review the draft process/instruction documents prepared by President Nelson. The final process/instruction document will be distributed to administrators and staff early in September. It is hoped that a Strategic Plan for Lincoln will be ready for presentation to the Board of Trustees for the April or September 2001 meeting. Lincoln University

THIS WEEK - This new weekly publication will begin the first week of September. It will include news, announcements and events and activities from all areas of the University.

Commonwealth 2001-2002 Capital Budget Request - Lincoln's requests are due in Harrisburg by October 1, 2000. The Cabinet will discuss the priority of the identified projects for submission.

Fiscal Affairs
Bids will be out this week for re-piping in the Boiler room. This work is part of the requirements of the Spill Prevention Plan.

Personnel responsibilities for the faculty and student mailrooms will be merged.

Gourmet Services, Inc. will award three (3) Board Scholarships to Lincoln University for the 2000-20001 academic year. Names of recipients are due to Gourmet by October 16, 2000.

Academic Affairs
Vice President SubbaRao reported that overall, the results of the faculty evaluations of the August 23-24, 2000 Faculty Conference were excellent or very good. Fifty-three (72%) of the faculty in attendance responded to the evaluation questionnaire.

Student Affairs & Enrollment Management
374 new students were on campus as of Sunday, August 27th. - 840 total students on campus as of the 27th
