President’s Cabinet Meeting

ATTENDEES:  President Ivory V. Nelson, Vice President Howard E. Merlin, Executive Vice President Michael B. Hill, Dr. Harold Aubrey and Ms. Diane M. Brown.
The July 27, 2010 Cabinet minutes were approved.
Lincoln University 2010-2011 Operating Budget Preparations – Steps will be taken to schedule the date and time for the special Board of Trustee meeting to present the proposed budget.
MSCHE –Dr. Aubrey presented the schedule to be followed to ensure the University’s readiness for the small team visit scheduled for September 24, 2010.
Follett Rent-a-text program – Faculty are to be made aware of the availability of this option.  President Nelson asked that a notice be distributed to the student body.
Executive Vice President Michael Hill provided the following updates:
MOU with Philadelphia School District – He is anticipating a decision from the School District in the near future. The document presented to the School District includes provisions for dual enrollment, teacher training, and professional development services.
Secretarial Union Contract – Mr. Hill will now be participating in the Union negotiations.
Lincoln University’s Over Arching Goals – The goal for Lincoln University is to be ranked in the Top 10 in academic, athletic and artistic programs.
