Audit of 2002-2003 FFELP Postings
An internal audit of this area showed that much progress has been made in addressing this problem area and noted that continued diligence would be required to maintain this progress. It was the internal auditor's opinion that this specific area will not be an issue in the next PHEAA audit.
Lower Oxford Township supervisors have given preliminary approval to Lincoln University for the construction of the new dormitory building.
Effective August 8, 2003, Positive Pay will be implemented for payroll. In conjunction with the implementation of Positive Pay, all student workers will be issued time cards that must be used for payroll purposes. Additionally, time card punch information will be given to supervisors in a more timely fashion to ensure the accuracy of timecard punches. These changes are intended to help reduce the number of pay discrepancies and ultimately cut down on the need/requests for manual checks.
The process for placing new personnel on the payroll was discussed. Effective August 1, 2003, only the vice presidents have the authority to place personnel on the University's payroll system. In addition, no one will be added to the payroll system unless the office of Human Resources has received an application, fully executed PAF form, and resume where required.
The Cabinet meeting was adjourned at 11:30 AM.
