the Security
Building are the
next roofing projects
to be undertaken.
The new science building is still
behind schedule with completion anticipated in March 2009.
Work on the library renovation is
ahead of schedule.
Work has begun above ground on
the International Cultural Center (ICC).
The project is currently on schedule.
University Projects
Summer work on the residence
halls has been completed. Vice President
Bynum asked that a project to apply paint to certain exteriors of
Houston Hall
be added to the list.
Mr. Merlin and Mr. Thompson
requested assistance from SAEM in the University’s efforts to conserve
energy. Given the rise in the cost of
fuel, it is very important that our students are conscious of the need

conserve energy and save money. Their
keeping residence hall windows closed during the winter months would
greatly
assist in this area.
