MINUTES
Cabinet minutes of July 7, 2009
were approved.
PHYSICAL PLANT BRIEFING
Mr. Thompson provided a brief
update on the status of the Science, International Cultural
Center,
Wright Hall and Grim Hall building projects.
The move of furniture and faculty belongings from Wright Hall to
the new
Science building began today.
PRESIDENT-
- 2009-2010
Budget –. President Nelson asked the vice presidents to meet and
propose ways to reach a balanced budget should Lincoln University’s
state appropriation be reduced by the Commonwealth.
- Division
II Membership – The DII Membership Committee moved Lincoln University from the candidacy
period to provisional status, effective September 1, 2009.
Schools must successfully complete at least one year of
provisional status in DII before being granted active membership.
FISCAL AFFAIRS
- Administrative
Sick/Personal Leave - The process for the administration of
Administrative Sick/Personal Leave submitted by Human Resources was
approved by the Cabinet.
- Employee
Wellness Team – A proposed calendar of activities for 2009-2010 was
distributed to the Cabinet. The Wellness
Team, in conjunction with Aetna, will
provide wellness tips, sessions and events for employees throughout the
year.
