PHYSICAL PLANT UPDATE
·
Ashmun Hall, Hansberry Hall, and McCauley Hall
are scheduled for renovation over the summer. Work is well underway and includes
new flooring, ceiling tile and lighting in each dorm.
DGS Project Status:
·
Project 1101-28 Phase III & 1101-45 Phase
II (Emergency Generation):
Phase II contract to design and install the balance
of generation needs has been awarded. This will involve two more generators, a
new transformer and all associated gear.

Project 1101-32 (Vail Hall & Lincoln
Hall)
a)
Vail is complete except for work to be done over
the summer.
b)
Phase II Lincoln Hall - HVAC units are being
installed.
Work is approximately 90%
complete.

Project 1101 – 38 Roof Project (Flat roof on
Rivero Hall)
Design is complete - project
is ready to be released for bid.
Plans
are for work to begin in the fall.

Projects 1101-39 (Grim) 1101-43 (Wright) and
1101-44 (Library):
Grim Hall:
96% complete.
Wright Hall:
78% complete.
Library:
86% complete.

Project 1101-42 ICC
Professional has been
assigned to design the additional parking lot study, a patio, and work along
Baltimore Pike.

Projects 1101-45 (Landscape) and 1101-46
(Athletics)
a) The stadium building is underway:
21% complete
b) Landscaping:
18% complete

Project 1101-47 (Wellness Center):
The project is 52%
complete.
·
Project 1101-48 (John Miller Dickey Hall
Renovation):
Meetings with the University’s design team are
anticipated to begin in the near future.

New 600 Bed Dorm
Project is still under study.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
·
Assessment Activities –Steps will be taken so
that the Draft Monitoring Report can be sent to external reviewers by the end of
the week.
·
Program
Review – Cabinet discussed the need to review all program majors for relevance
and importance to the University’s mission.
Criteria by which to evaluate will have to be determined upon further
discussion and assessment.
·
Several Personnel
Action Forms for the 2011-2012 academic year are being held for review once the
University’s 2011-12 Operating Budget has been determined.
FISCAL AFFAIRS
Cabinet discussed possible scenarios for the 2011-2012 Operating Budget.
The University’s budget will take into account the current proposed 19% cut in
Lincoln’s state appropriation.
ADJOURNMENT
