President’s Cabinet Meeting

Commonwealth Capital Projects - The Department of General Services (DGS) has appointed design professionals for all of the Lincoln projects included in the $29.4 million State appropriation.


Development and External Relations
Vice President Hill reported on the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund (TMSF) Capital Campaign Meeting of Presidents held in Washington, DC on Friday, June 15, 2001.  The meeting was convened to review the plans for the proposed TMSF capital campaign.  President Nelson and Vice President Hill attended the June 15th meeting in Washington.

Fiscal Affairs
The University's phone system will be changed to an automated answering system.  The change will be implemented this week after review and approval by the President's office and Vice President Hill.

Due to recent national safety reports concerning 15 passenger vans, the Office of Human Resources is implementing a driver training program and safety parameters which must be adhered to when using the vans owned by the University.

All equipment for the new campus mailroom has been received.  The new equipment is more efficient, will allow the University to handle mass mailings in-house, and provide substantial cost savings for the University.
