President's Cabinet Meeting

2004-2005 Operating Budget
The Cabinet reviewed in detail the draft 2004-2005 Operating Budget for the University. Reductions must be made in several areas in order to develop a balanced budget. All divisions were asked to look specifically at the "staff/food meetings" and "travel" line items to make any possible reductions in these expenses. Additionally, the Cabinet agreed upon calculation adjustments relating to student enrollment. The revised proposed budget will be reviewed at the next Cabinet meeting.
Commonwealth Capital Budget
Consideration of Capital Budget Bill HB 1634 by the PA Senate has been further delayed. At issue is Pennsylvania's prevailing wage law and its application towards projects funded by the Commonwealth. HB 1634 contains several Lincoln University capital projects.
New Water Tower
On Monday, May 10, 2004, a new water tower was installed on the campus.
The Cabinet meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
