Commencement 2002 - President Nelson and his Cabinet expressed their appreciation of the efforts of the University community in making the 2002 Commencement weekend a great success. Special thanks and congratulations to Physical Plant and Security personnel and the Commencement Planning Committee on a job well done.
Summer Capital Projects - Capital Projects to be completed during summer 2002 include: Cannon House Renovation; SAP program A/C installation; Rendall Hall Basement Renovation; Campus Master Plan; Video Studio A/C system installation; Library carpet, ceiling, and lighting (1st phase); Emergency Switch Gear (Urban Center); Emergency Stair Tower Lights (Urban Center); Student Union Bldg. Student space upgrade; Wright Hall Observatory; African arts Collection; and Campus lighting.
Student Housing Project - The University is preparing an RFQ, which will be sent to all interested parties. All who meet the requirements of the RFQ will receive the project RFP. The Purchasing Director will handle the issuance and receipt of all RFQs and RFPs.
Lincoln University students receive Horace Mann Bond-Leslie Pinckney Hill Scholarship Award - Mr. Eric R. Copes '01, and Ms. Rhasheda V. Henley '00 were recently awarded the Horace Mann Bond-Leslie Pinckney Hill Scholarship Award from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Education. The scholarships cover full tuition, all tuition required fees and books for a maximum of four academic years. Both Mr. Copes and Ms. Rhasheda received the awards for studies at Temple University School of Dentistry.
