President's Cabinet Meeting
May 9, 2000
Attendees: President Ivory V. Nelson, Vice President Richard C. Winchester, Vice President Edward L. McCusker, Vice President Arnold T. Hence, Vice President Anthony R. Fairbanks, Mr. Nicholas Chaban, Mr. Michael Byers, Ms. Diane M. Brown
President Nelson distributed to the Cabinet, an agenda, which will serve as the core agenda for the summer. (Attached below)
2000-2001 Operating Budget - The Cabinet discussed the proposed 2000-2001, which now included revenue figures. President Nelson plans to present the proposed budget to the Board of Trustees by June 1, 2000 for approval.
International Cultural Center (ICC) - President Nelson and Vice President McCusker met with officials in Harrisburg on Monday, May 8, 2000, concerning this project. All parties are prepared to move forward with the plans to construct the building on the new site designated by the University. The scope of the project will have to be reduced in size due to increases in construction costs since the project was approved in 1995. Vice President Fairbanks will provide a list of all items to which the University has committed for inclusion in the new design (i.e. chairs, conference rooms, gardens, etc.).

Other items on the agenda were for information purposes only.
The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m. so President Nelson and Vice President McCusker could travel to Harrisburg for an orientation meeting with the Department of General Services and the design firm selected for the University's Security/Alarm project.
