Cabinet meeting minutes of April 19, 2011 were accepted.
 
DISCUSSION ITEMS
 
·         Assessment Activities – The drafts of the department Monitoring Reports are due to the Deans and Executive Vice President by May 6^th.  The Deans will identify faculty members who will be asked to participate in the writing of the final Monitoring Report during the period May 9-13, 2011. 
 
·         Summer Bridge Program – There have been 370 applicants admitted to the Summer Bridge Program.  Of this number, 201 have completed their FAFSA.  With the recent change to the Pell Grant, Summer Bridge participants will not have Pell funds available to cover the cost of the program.  Cabinet approved the awarding of Lincoln University grants to cover the cost of attendance for those who would have been Pell eligible.  Those who would not have been Pell eligible will be offered a grant of $1,000 to assist with the cost of participation.
 
·         Founder’s Day/Commencement Weekend – Commendations to the staffs of the Development Office and President’s Office for their planning, coordination and implementation of the many events held over the weekend.
