MINUTES
Minutes of the April 13, 2010 Cabinet meeting were approved.
DISCUSSION TOPICS
Advancing to the Top – Cabinet discussed the Summer Bridge Program,
Urban Education Proposal, Advisory Boards for Centers of Excellence and the
enrollment numbers for fall 2010.
ACT101 – Lincoln University’s projected 2010-2011 Act 101 Program
award totals $46,819. This is for a minimum of 50 students participants
in the program.
Lincoln University Distance Learning Capabilities – Once the installation
of equipments has been completed, Lincoln University will have the capability
of providing distance learning from five of its facilities: Langston Hughes
Memorial Library, International Cultural Center, University Hall, Science
Building and Graduate Center (Philadelphia).
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Dean Chikwem will be assisting 13 students with preparation for the MCAT
exam from April 26 thru the end of May.
STUDENT AFFAIRS AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Summer capital projects - VP Briggs indicated that the list of summer
capital projects is in the final stages of development and will be presented
to the Cabinet shortly for approve. Student comfort issues have been
given top priority on the list.
Dining Services – Three finalists have been selected in response
to the RFP submitted. The candidates have been invited to meet with
the University’s selection team this week.
Advancing To the Top Action Plan – VP Briggs distributed his Action
Plans for the division of Student Affairs and enrollment Management.
Cabinet was asked to review the plans and be prepared to discuss at the next
meeting of the Cabinet.
