President’s Cabinet Meeting

ATTENDEES:  President Ivory V. Nelson, Executive Vice President Michael B. Hill, Vice President Howard E. Merlin, Dean John O. Chikwem, Dean Gladys J. Willis, Dean Judith A.W. Thomas, and Ms. Diane M. Brown.
Cabinet meeting minutes of April 12, 2011 were accepted.
         Assessment Activities – The Standard 14 Monitoring Report will be included on the agenda of the April 26, 2011 Faculty meeting.  A “Draft” Report was discussed and will be made available to the faculty prior to the faculty meeting. The schedule for April 26-29 will also be distributed to the faculty.
         Cabinet members present discussed strategies and preparations for Lincoln University’s 2011-12 operational budget.
         Senate Resolution No. 80 was adopted April 11, 2011, designating April 11, 2011 as “Lincoln University Day” in Pennsylvania.
         Executive Vice President’s working templates for achieving national/international recognition for the University’s Centers of Excellence were shared with members of Cabinet.
         Approval was given to move forward with implementation of the 10-Month secretarial reclassification and reduced work hours.
         Information Technology update – Plans are nearly complete for implementation of Colleague E-Commerce, which will all for the electronic deposit of student refunds.  In addition, Colleague recruiter is expected to be operational by September 2011. 
There being no further business, President Nelson adjourned the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
