MINUTES
Cabinet minutes of April 1, 2008,
were approved.
PHYSICAL PLANT UPDATE
DGS regulations regarding the
wiring in the Student
Union Building
may cause a delay of up to four months in obtaining the certificate of
occupancy.
The library renovations have been
proceeding smoothly.
DGS has selected the contractor
for the Roof Replacement Repairs for Vail Hall.
PRESIDENT
DGS funding approval has been received for furniture
and fixtures
for the International Cultural Center
($3,100,000.00) and the High
Technology Science Building
($4,500,000.00).
FISCAL AFFAIRS
Cabinet discussed the proposed
2008-09 Operating Budget and the areas needing adjustment.
The March 31, 2008 Conformance
Reports, were distributed and discussed.
The following policy revisions
were approved:

Policy/Procedures

Employment Categories
·
Employment of Foreign Nationals
STUDENT AFFAIRS & ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Mr. Chester Hampton and Miss
Brooke Womack were chosen Mr. and Miss Lincoln at the contest held over
the
weekend.
Spring Fling activities began
April 5 and will continue through Saturday, April 12, 2008. Events on Saturday will include a party but
not a concert.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further
business, President Nelson adjourned the meeting at 12:00 p.m.
