MINUTES
Cabinet minutes of March 23, 2010 were approved.
DISCUSSION TOPICS
Monitoring Report to MSCHE – The University’s Monitoring Report on
Standard 14 has been completed and will be hand-delivered to the MSCHE offices
in Philadelphia today.
Direct Lending – Lincoln University has set the target date of July
1, 2010 for transition to Direct Lending for our students. President
Nelson suggested that a joint training session be scheduled for staff of the
financial aid and business offices to ensure that everyone is up to date on
requirements, procedures and regulations.
Library Phase II – DGS has moved the date for the bid opening from
March 21 to April 7, 2010.
Vail and Lincoln Hall Renovation work – Vail Hall will be vacated
for the duration of the scraping, cosmetic and HVAC phases of the project.
An attempt will be made to place all fiscal staff together during the renovation.
An attempt will also be made to house all business office files in one central
area during the renovation work. Lincoln Hall personnel will be relocated
to a modular during the renovation work in that building.
President Nelson’s visit to Washington, DC – President Nelson provided
a briefing on his March 24, 2010 visit to Washington, DC, during which he
met with Appropriations Directors for Senators Robert Casey and Arlen Specter,
Congressman Joseph Pitts, representatives from the Department of Education,
and Mr. William Jawando, White House Office of Public Engagement.

Student Government Association Elections – Election of SGA officers
will be held next week.
