President's Cabinet Meeting
March 10, 2003

Minutes of the March 3, 2003 Cabinet Meeting were approved.

Art Collection and Historical Papers/Documents Cabinet discussed the need for cataloging, archiving and appraising both the University's art collection and holdings of historical papers, which may be of value. Dean Willis was asked to work on a plan to accomplish this for the valuable papers in the University's possession and to work with the art department to accomplish the same for the art collection.

Bequest from Collington Estate Lincoln University has received approximately $369,000 from the estate of James F. Collington '47 for the upgrading of facilities. The monies have thus far been designated to complete the following projects: Library Chiller ($170,000), Library Carpet ($80,000) and installation of Chapel Windows ($20,000). The remaining $100,000 will be allocated to projects in accordance with the stipulations of the bequest. University Capital Projects The University hopes to complete the installation of the Chapel windows before graduation, providing weather conditions permit. Also on the University's priority list are the completion of the renovation of Cannon House ($175,000) to house the office of Admissions and the office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and the repair of the elevators at the Urban Center in Philadelphia ($165,000). Both projects are in progress.
