MINUTES
Cabinet minutes of February 24, 2010 were approved.
DISCUSSION TOPICS
Summer Bridge Program - Salary/staffing must be factored into the
new Summer Bridge Program and reflected in the Strategic Plan update and
operating budget submissions.
Strategic Plan Update -Updates to the University’s Strategic Plan
are to be completed per the new emphases and organizational realignment.
MSCHE Monitoring Report - Supporting data not included in the drafts
of the monitoring report on assessment will be included in the final
report submitted to MSCHE. Meetings are to be held with department
chairs prior to submission of the report to MSCHE.
CIAA Membership - Lincoln must begin planning now for CIAA membership
requirements relating to tournament participation and scholarships.
This includes a plan for applying available scholarship dollars.
Executive Order on HBCUs - President Nelson gave a briefing of his
recent visit to the White House for a briefing on higher education and the
signing of the Executive Order for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
President Nelson was one of the many HBCU presidents who were able to accept
the invitation to participate in this event.

Direct Student Loans - The financial aid office/staff is prepared
for the transition to Direct Student Loans
